Nice to meet you! A Pandemic and our Remote Office location business model can't keep us apart! This month we brought the team together in San Diego, CA for a Team Bonding retreat. Although we have been working remotely together, it was the first time some team members had physically met in-person. Team Bonding retreat included way too much laughing, plenty of good food, photo session headshots on the beach, "get to know you" Sand Pictionary, project site visits, and client networking events!
We also took the opportunity to meet with some of our favorite clients and played a fun game of "Speed Networking" to get to know each other better! Noctiluca Lighting is proud to announce that we have officially (!!) received national certification as a Women’s Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women. Noctiluca Lighting is proud to be 100% Woman owned, and staffed. "While woman owned status was never in question, we are thrilled to receive this official certification by WBENC at the national level!" said Founding Principal, Diane Borys. This certification not only helps us to become a better partner to many clients by helping them meet their diversity requirements, but it also further demonstrates Noctiluca's core company values and commitment to helping promote, mentor and support Women. About WBENC:
Founded in 1997, WBENC is the nation’s leader in women’s business development and the leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women, with more than 13,000 certified Women’s Business Enterprises, 14 national Regional Partner Organizations, and over 300 Corporate Members. More than 1,000 corporations representing America’s most prestigious brands as well as many states, cities, and other entities accept WBENC Certification. For more information, visit www.wbenc.org.
